In October every year our school holds the annual function for prize distribution. This year also the prize Distribution function was held. The function was held in our assembly hall within the compound as the school hall was not big enough to hold. All the students, teachers and the visitors. It was beautifully decorated with flags, mottoes and picture a large platform had been put up and over it Ware placed tables loaded with prizes and chairs for the governor and the high officials of the city. Hoarding a bus in Delhi is a feat in itself and travellingin an overcrowded bus is a true patience test for the Passenger. Here is my only experience of travelling inone such bus. Once I and my friend were returning home from school. We had to wait for nearly an hour at the bus stop. Toour relief the bus came but much to our distress it wasovercrowded. I hesitated but my friend forced me toboard the bus as waiting in the sun for another buswould be no less torturous. Inside the bus it was suffocating. The last holiday that I had was in Udaipur. Last monthmy parents and I went to Rajasthan by car. We decided in drive through the various states so that we would get a good feel of the places that we passed. It was to be a four-day holiday, so we planned itcarefully. We booked ourselves into a great looking hotel called Shikarbadi. This hotel was once a hunting resort for the Maharaja and his ministers. Even today it belongs to the 'Maharana' of Udaipur and he has converted it into a hotel. The rooms of the hotel were made of stone. The Gemini Circus is one of the most popular circusshows in India. It brings actors/ acrobats andperformers from various parts of the country. Theyperform tricks that attract everybody and people liketo visit the circus again and again. The circus has lions, elephants and horses. Animals aretrained by experts and we often see dogs, rabbits, bears,monkeys etc. Performing tricks that we could never beable to imagine them being capable of. My winter vacation had just begun when T received aninvitation from my cousin to visit her at Lucknow. Dueto official reasons, my parents offered me the chanceto travel alone. I accepted.
