Very often we read or hear about road accidents. The carelessness of the people adds to their number. The international observance of World Water Day is an initiative that grew out of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro. The United Nations General Assembly designated 22 March of each year as the World Day for Water by adopting a resolution. The policy of disinvestment in India has largely evolved through tin policy statements of Finance Ministers in their Budget Speeches. In the Interim budget 1991-92, it was announced that Government would dives up to 20 per cent of its equity in selected Public Sector Undertaking! (PSUs) in favour of mutual funds, financial and institutional investor! in public sector. In the budget speech of 1992-93, the cap of 20 per cent was reinstated and the list of eligible investors was enlarged to include FIIs, employees and OCBs. In April 1993, Rangrajan committee recommended to divest up to 49 per cent of PSE's equity for industries explicitly reserved for the public sector and over 74 per cent in other industries.    But the Government did not take any action on recommendations. I have a dog as a pet. Dogs have often been called "Man's best friend". This seems very true about my dog Rover. Rover is an Alsatian. I got him as a gift from my mother on my last birthday. Rover was just a pup whenI got him and I have loved him ever since the day Ifirst saw him. Rover is a very affectionate dog. Whenever I come homefrom school, he jumps to me and licks me all over. Hejumps around the house with joy because he knows that his master will take him out for his walk. Rover and I go for a walk every morning because hehas to ease himself.
